How the week works

Wind decides the spot
Every morning we read the forecast with Kitear, the wind app we built for Chile's kite spots, and drive to where the wind is. Lakes, estuary or open Pacific.

Five kite days out of seven
The week is planned around five days on the water. Private 4x4 transport, in-water support and a guide who knows every launch.

Plan B, guided by Hugo
If the wind fails one or two days, the day isn't lost: Hugo runs the region's best outings (see below).

Ten spots within reach, from flat lakes under volcanoes to Pacific waves. We ride the best four or five of your week.

On a day without wind, Hugo — a certified tourism guide — takes you to the region's highlights. We pick them by date and by what you'd like to do.

Your 7 days
Day 1 · Arrival
Pick-up at Puerto Montt airport (PMC). Check-in, welcome dinner, safety briefing and the forecast for the week.
Days 2 to 6 · Wind hunt
Wake up, read the wind, drive to the best spot. Session, lunch, session. Asado and Chilean wine at night. Plan B if the wind doesn't come.
Day 7 · Farewell
Last morning session if your flight allows it, farewell lunch and transfer to the airport.

Questions
What level do I need?
Independent intermediate or better: riding upwind and able to self-rescue. This is a guided trip, not a school.
What if there is no wind?
The week is planned around five kite days out of seven. If the wind fails, Hugo runs Plan B: Petrohué waterfalls, Osorno volcano, Lago Todos los Santos, Frutillar or Chiloé.
Do I bring my own gear?
Yes, bring your kites and board. Rental can be arranged on request.
How cold is the water?
Cold: a 4/3 wetsuit for the lakes and a 5/4 with boots for the Pacific.
How do I get there?
Fly to Puerto Montt (PMC), about 1 h 45 min from Santiago. We pick you up at the airport.
How much does it cost?
Price on request. It depends on lodging, group size and dates; we send a tailored proposal.
